Governance

The Students’ Association of NorQuest College is incorporated under the Post-Secondary Learning Act to administer the affairs of students at NorQuest College. Our organizational structure is as follows:

NorQuest College Students
The student body at NorQuest College is the highest SANQC authority. Our association is 100% accountable to the students of the college.

Students’ Council
Students’ Council is elected to represent the interests of the student body. This council establishes the vision and direction of SANQC.

Executive Director
The Executive Director manages the day-to-day operations of SANQC. They also manage all of the support staff and is the only staff member who reports to the Students’ Council.

Support Staff
The support staff at SANQC implement programs, services and events.

SANQC Fees

Students’ Association Fees

SANQC levies membership fees for credit students enrolled in NorQuest programs and courses.

Students’ Association Fee — $55.75

Students enrolled in credit classes will be charged this fee each term.

U-Pass Program Fees

Eligible students will automatically be enrolled in the SANQC Universal Transit Pass (U-Pass) Program. The mandatory U-Pass provides unlimited usage of regular service (excluding special event, contracted and charter service) for Beaumont, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc, Spruce Grove, St. Albert and Strathcona County during the Fall Term (Aug 25 – Dec 31), Winter Term (Jan 1 – Apr 30) and Spring/Summer Term (May 1 – Aug 31) to eligible students. The fees for the 2023/2024 academic year are set at the following rates:

$180 for each of the Fall, Winter and Spring/Summer Terms

Health & Dental Fees

Eligible students will automatically be enrolled into the SANQC Health & Dental plan.

The fees for the 2023/2024 academic year are set at the following rates:

$401 total: $206 for health, $195 for dental for students starting in the Fall, Winter or Spring Term (coverage for 12 months)

Student Legal Support Plan Fees

Eligible students will automatically be enrolled in mylegalplan.

The fees for the 2023/2024 academic year are set at the following rates:

$18.75 for eligible students starting in the Fall, Winter or Spring Term (coverage for 12 months)
