Governance

The Students’ Association of NorQuest College is incorporated under the Post-Secondary Learning Act to administer the affairs of students at NorQuest College. Our organizational structure is as follows:

NorQuest College Students
The student body at NorQuest College is the highest SANQC authority. Our association is 100% accountable to the students of the college.

Students’ Council
Students’ Council is elected to represent the interests of the student body. This council establishes the vision and direction of SANQC.

Executive Director
The Executive Director manages the day-to-day operations of SANQC. He/She also manages all of the support staff and is the only staff member who reports to the Students’ Council.

Support Staff
The support staff at SANQC implement programs, services and events.

SANQC Fees

Students’ Association Fees

SANQC levies membership fees for credit students enrolled in NorQuest programs and courses.

On-campus (Edmonton) students — $61

On-campus students include full or part-time credit students attending classes on-site in Edmonton.

Regional students — $61

Regional students include full or part-time students taking classes at a campus or site within the NorQuest regional stewardship area.

Distance delivery and e-campus students — $39.50

Distance students include full or part-time credit students that are taking classes completely by distance delivery. E-campus students are those students taking courses through the e-campus network.

Health & Dental Fees

Eligible students will automatically be enrolled into the SANQC Health and Dental plan.

The fees for the 2017/2018 year are set at the following rates:

$386: $193 each for health and dental for students starting in the Fall Term (coverage from fall program start date until Aug. 31, 2018)

$260: $130 each for health and dental for students starting in the Winter Term (coverage from winter program start date until Aug. 31, 2018)

U-Pass Program Fees

Eligibile students will automatically be enrolled in the SANQC Universal Transit Pass (U-Pass) Program. The mandatory U-Pass provides unlimited usage of regular service (excluding special event, contracted and charter service) for Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc, Spruce Grove, St. Albert and Strathcona County during the Fall Term (Aug. 25 – Dec. 31), Winter Term (Jan. 1 – Aug. 30) and Spring/Summer Term (May 1 – Aug. 30) to eligible students. The fees for the 2017/2018 year are set at the following rates:

$170 for each of the Fall, Winter and Spring/Summer Terms
