Students’ Council is made up of students — just like you!
We are here to advocate; to be the voice for the students.
We are here to support; to listen to students.
We are here to celebrate; to provide opportunities for students to connect, share and have fun!
We are student leaders and we are here to make a difference.
We connect with students so we can represent students.
Students’ Council has 9 seats broken out into the following positions:
- 4 Health & Community Studies Representatives
- 4 Foundational, Career & Intercultural Studies Representatives
- 1 Regional/Distance Representative
Despite being from different faculties, all members of Students’ Council have the same role; to represent and safeguard the academic rights of students at NorQuest College.

I am here to make sure you have fun. One of my favorite events was the Family Halloween Party. I dressed up like eagle and did my version of the chicken dance with all the kids. It was awesome to see so many smiley faces.
Harjot KaurHealth & Community Studies Representative - Practical Nurse Student
I am here to help make your voice heard. In the past year I have been able to meet with other student leaders around Alberta. Together, we lobby the government on issues that impact students like tuition, mental health funding and transferability. My favorite part of being on Students’ Council has been knowing that we are making a difference for students.
