SUMMARY:2021 Fall Virtual Helping Hands Helpers
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our 2021 Helping Hands Helper campaign! This year you can help out and be a Holiday Helper by signing out tickets to shop for gifts for NorQuest students in need. \nIf you are a 2021 Fall NorQuest student trying to register for the Helping Hands campaign\, please click here. \nThis year staff and faculty can also show their team spirit by shopping or donating on behalf of TEAM JILL or TEAM LEARNER EXPERIENCE. Independent helpers are also welcome! \nCheck at the bottom of the ticket list to pick which team you want to be a part of. \nGift Buying\nStudents have signed up for gifts for themselves and/or their children in the categories shown below. As students sign up we will update the number of shopping tickets available to be claimed in each category. You can sign out the age range and gift types that appeal to you the most at the bottom of this page. Helpers are asked to shop for gifts of approximately $20 value each. Feel free to sign up for as many tickets as you want! \nNot sure what to buy? We’d love to help! Email us at students.association@norquest.ca for gift suggestions. \nThe deadline to sign out tickets is Tue\, Nov 30 at 4 pm. THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL THU\, DEC 2 AT 4 PM. \nGift Drop off\nOnce you’ve purchased your gifts\, please drop them off\, unwrapped\, in the SANQC Service Centre (SCFL 1-086) no later than Tue\, Nov 30 at 5:30 pm Thu\, Dec 2 at 4 pm. To ensure that we get the gift to the correct person\, please tape a note to each present with your name and the age/category it’s for. \nDonations\nNot able to shop but still want to help out? No problem! SANQC is accepting donations electronically. Please send an e-transfer to sanqc.helpinghands@norquest.ca and remember to include which team you’re donating on behalf of (Jill\, Learner Experience or Independent). Donations will be accepted until Fri\, Dec 10. \nPlease note that SANQC is unable to issue tax receipts for any donations. \nGift Wrapping\nDue to COVID restrictions\, all gift wrapping will be done by SANQC this year.\nGift Categories\n• Purple: princesses\, my little pony\, flowers\, dolls\, makeup/nail kits\, tea sets\, toys\, books\, blocks\, stuffed animals\, etc\n• Blue: dinosaurs\, superheroes\, pokemon\, cars\, figurines\, toys\, books\, blocks\, stuffed animals\, etc\n• Yellow: puzzles\, board games\, activity books\, craft sets\, art sets\, card games\, hand held electronic games\, etc\n• Lime: sports theme\, sports equipment/balls\, outdoor toys\, yard games\, etc\n• Grey: blankets\, ornaments\, hats\, mittens\, scarves\, earmuffs\, hand warmers\, fuzzy docks\, decorations\, etc\n• Orange: personal care like nail kits/clippers\, neutral soap\, neutral shampoo\, creams\, body wash\, vaseline\, lip balm\, face wash\, toothpaste & brush\, etc \nThank you to all of our Helpers this year\, we truly appreciate the support you showed for NorQuest students and their families.
