SANQC 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Join your Students’ Association on Wed, Nov 26 from 5:30 – 7 pm for our Annual General Meeting (AGM)! You play a vital role in this process and we need your input.

How to Register

• Click HERE to register for our AGM.
• Before registering, please ensure you will be able to attend the entirety of the AGM (5:30 – 7 pm).
• The deadline to register is Tue, Nov 25 at 12 pm.
• You must be a Students’ Association member in good standing (have paid SANQC fees this term) to attend the AGM.

Ways to Attend

• When: Wed, Nov 26 from 5:30 – 7 pm
• In person:
  • Student ID required
  • Room 2-013 in the Singhmar Centre for Learning (SCFL)
  • Doors open at 4:45 pm on Wed, Nov 26
    • No entry or re-entry will be permitted once the AGM has begun.
  • All in person attendees will get FREE pizza!
  • An email reminder will be sent to you following the registration deadline.
• Virtual sign-up:
  • Eventbrite registration confirmation will be required.
  • Virtual session opens at 5 pm on Wed, Nov 26.
    • No entry or re-entry will be permitted once the AGM has begun.
  • Camera on will be required to participate.
  • A link to the virtual session will be emailed to you following the registration deadline.

1.0 Approval of Agenda

• Motion: To approve the Annual General Meeting agenda for November 26th, 2025, as presented.

2.0 Approval of Minutes

• Motion: To approve the Annual General Meeting Minutes of the Students’ Association of NorQuest College on November 27th, 2024.

3.0 Presentation of Audited Financial Statements

• Motion: To accept the 2025 audited financial statements of the Students’ Association as presented.

4.0 Auditor Appointment

• Motion: To appoint King & Company as the financial auditors for the fiscal year ending June 2026.

5.0 SANQC Bylaw Revisions

• Motion: To approve, by special resolution, the recommended section A Bylaw revisions #1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 as presented in the attached supplement, where strikethrough indicates deletions and underline indicates additions.
• Motion: To approve, by special resolution, the recommended section B Bylaw revision #7 – Composition of Council as presented in the attached supplement, where strikethrough indicates deletions and underline indicates additions.
• Motion: To approve, by special resolution, the recommended section C Bylaw revisions #8 & 9 Qualification for Councilors as presented in the attached supplement, where strikethrough indicates deletions and underline indicates additions.
• Motion: To approve, by special resolution, the recommended section D Bylaw revision #10 – Addition of Vice-Chair Role as outlined in the attached supplement, where strikethrough indicates deletions and underline indicates additions.
